How Quantity Surveyor fees work in Singapore

QS fees in Singapore typically range from 0.5% to 2.5% of total construction cost, depending on scope, complexity and engagement model. Simple A&A projects start lower. GCB and conservation projects sit higher due to specification complexity. We always quote fixed fees — never open-ended hourly rates — so you know your total commitment up front.

Residential A&A

Addition & Alteration cost plan or BQ. Re-measurement, variation valuation, progress claim review. Typically 1–6 months engagement.

Common for: A&A under BCA submission, interior reconstructions, small extensions

Landed New Build / Reconstruction

Full cost plan and BQ for landed residential. Tender management, contract administration through completion, Final Account.

Common for: detached / semi-detached / terrace new builds and reconstructions

Full QS engagement on GCB project — cost plan, BQ, tender, contract administration, Final Account. Specification-heavy, owner-attention-intensive.
